Position Title: Project Officer
Reports to: Field Manager, Location: Gaza
Deadline: 05 August 2011
Job Summary:
The Project Officer (PO) will manage the Humanitarian Innovation Fund-supported Gaza Risk Reduction and Mitigation (GRRAM) project. Under the supervision and guidance of the Gaza Field Manager, the PO will be responsible for managing implementation of GRRAM with 2 partners and 200 House Hold in urban, conflict-prone areas. The PO will be liaising with key humanitarian stakeholders; ELRHA (Enhancing Learning and Research for Humanitarian Assistance); ALNAP (The Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action) and UK universities. The PO will also be managing the learning component of the project by documenting best practices and authoring Conflict-Prone Areas
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
- Has a BA in international development, and/or other related field. Master Degree preferred;
-preparedness, emergency response) ;
-with donors, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders;
-Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel).
