The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the posts of:
 1 – Assistant Projects Officer
 1. Vacancy No. : 142/2011/X
 2. Duty Station : Field Office – Jerusalem
 3. Basic Salary : 778.8 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies
 set by the Agency.
 4. Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and
 spouse.
 NIS 1000 as Jerusalem Allowance payable in JD at
 exchange rates set by the Agency
 5. Other Benefits : Health Insurance, Provident Fund
 6. Qualifications:
 • Bachelor Degree in related subject ( Business, economics, project
 management, finance)
 • At least three years of experience
 • Fluent in English language/ Bilingual
 Skills & Competencies:
 Good understanding of policies, procedures and work methods; Good
 understanding of local laws and regulations; Very good communication
 skills; Good analytical skills; Sound report writing skills; Knowledge
 of programme cycle management; Knowledge of monitoring and
 evaluation techniques; Strong budgetary skills; Ensuring the effective

 work; Professionalism; Proven ability in establishing effective internal
 work relationships at all levels and in managing/leading a team; Ability

 2 – Assistant Professor – Education
 1. Vacancy No. : 143/2011/X
 2. Duty Station : Educational Sciences Faculty & Ramallah Men’s
 Training Center
 3. Basic Salary : 826.3 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies
 set by the Agency.
 4. Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and
 spouse.
 162 JD as Special Post Allowance
 5. Other Benefits : Health Insurance, Provident Fund
 6. Qualifications:
 • A PH.D. in the required subject of specialization from an accredited
 and recognized university or higher learning institution.
 • Written scholarly work such as the publication of books, manuscripts,
 research work and articles in recognized publication firms
 or refereed scientific journals published by higher learning institutions,
 research centers or internationally known publication
 houses directly related to faculty curriculum.
 • Some experience in post secondary teaching and practice teaching
 is required for appointment in the faculty.
 • Very good knowledge of English and Arabic.
 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
 • Previous experience in teaching at the basic and/or secondary
 level.
 • Demonstrated competency in preparing curriculum enrichment/
 self-learning materials.
 3 – Assistant Pharmacist
 1. Duty Station : Hebron Area
 Health Programme
 Vacancy No. 144/2011/X
 2. Grade & Salary :LDC Contract Band “C” – Q1
 : 491.20 JD that varies in accordance to the pay policies
 set by the Agency.
 3. Allowances : Dependency Allowances payable and other benefits
 (Medical Insurance) & Currency Adjustment Factor
 4. Qualifications:
 • Successful completion of full secondary education.
 • Successful completion of a course of training as an Assistant Pharmacist
 of two years’ duration.
 • Four years’ experience as an Assistant Pharmacist.
 • Fluency in English and Arabic.
 • Government license to practice the occupation of Assistant Pharmacist
 valid in the field of duty station.
 • N.B: Candidate will be offered a contract of three months extendable
 subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance
