Education Development Center Inc. is looking for candidates to fulfill Project Manager and Media
Coordinator positions for “Ahla Sout Ghaneeha” 2nd season.
1-Project Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.The project manager will be responsible for the overall project management, including staff management,
partnership management, procurement, finance and all other project related tasks.
2.The project manager will ensure that all project activities are implemented based on the implementation
plan that s/he will develop in coordination with the project under the supervision of
the EDC senior management.
3.Develop and take the lead on both outreach and recruitment strategies that will be implemented
across the West Bank in partnership with Palestinian organizations and youth groups.
4.Chair the project steering committee, ensure that updates are shared with the committee mamebers
on time, and coordinate among its member and ensure that all decisions are implemented
in a timely manager.
5.Manage and supervise the media work as well as outreach and recruitment.
6.The ideal candidate will have a background in Events Planning and Management in the West
Bank and experience in staging or putting on events and organizing and running training workshops.
7.The position will require travel in the West Bank and to Jerusalem.
Qualifications & Skills:
• BA or BS in education, business management, sociology or other discipline that relates to
managing people and/or events
• 5 years work experience at minimum, ideally in administration, management, events planning
or a similar field.
• English language fluency
• Arabic language fluency
• Excellent writing skills in both languages
• Excellent communication skills in both languages
• Superb organizational skill Background in youth development desirable
• Duty Station: Al Bireh /Al Balou’ - Contract Duration: 10 months starting immediately
2-Media Coordinator
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. The candidate will be responsible for all project related media activities.
2. He/She will write regular project updates and press releases in both languages, Arabic and
English.
3. Manage all project related social media networks.
4. Coordinate closely with the PR agency that EDC will hire for the project campaign.
5. Ensure filming and video productions using the EDC’s media facilities when required.
6. Take the lead on coordinating the TV episodes.
7. Assist in organizing project events and concerts.
Qualifications & Skills:
• BA in media and or communications
• Experience in events management and coordination
• Knowledge of media agencies work in Palestine
• Excellent Arabic and English writing skills
• Experience in designing and managing TV episodes is a plus
• Duty Station: Al Bireh /Al Balou’ -- Contract Duration: 9 months starting immediately
