Vacancy Announcement: ACCOUNTANT
Founded in 1993, the A.M. Qattan Foundation (www.qattanfoundation.org) is a UK and Palestine registered charity
with offices in London, Ramallah and Gaza. Through its work in Palestine and elsewhere, it seeks to invest in
people and to provide a fertile cultural soil upon which they can build their lives in order to achieve an effective,
meaningful and lasting participation in various aspects of human endeavour.
TheCOU A.M. Qattan Foundation seeks an ACNTANT. This is a full-time position based in the Foundation’s office
in Ramallah, and reports directly to the Director of Finance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
�� Managing outstanding payables and receivables;
�� Bookkeeping;
�� Preparing monthly control of accounts in consultation with the Director of Finance;
�� Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports for units, programmes, and projects;
�� Assisting with the preparation of budgets for units, programmes, projects, and for donors;
�� Assisting with the preparation of daily payments;
�� Preparing monthly banks reconciliations;
�� Ensuring implementation of the Foundation’s financial policies;
�� Preparing monthly payroll sheets;
�� Ensuring updated fixed assets register for the Foundation;
�� Carrying out any other finance-related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS
�� Bachelor’s degree in accounting;
�� Minimum 2 years of experience in not-for-profit accounting;
�� Experience with International NGOs is preferred;
�� Excellent experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and
Outlook;
�� Experience in “AUDIT FINANCAIL MANAGEMENT” will be an asset;
�� Well organized and methodical approach to tasks and responsibilities;
�� Experience in office administration and procedures;
�� Very good communication and problem-solving skills;
�� Good interpersonal skills;
�� Ability to work as a member of a team;
�� Ability to multi-task and work well under pressures and tight deadlines;
�� Fluency in oral and written English and Arabic.
